The draft Farriers (Registration) Bill is expected to have its second reading debate in the House of Commons on Friday 27 January 2017. A draft of the Bill should be made available by Government at least seven days in advance of 27 January 2017. Progress of the draft Bill may be tracked at www.parliament.uk and a copy of the draft Bill should be placed on the Parliament website when released.
The Chairman of the FRC, Tony Charlwood, has accepted an invitation from the Minister of State, Defra – George Eustice MP – to call on him on Friday 16th December 2016; the date is subject to change according to other demands on the Minister’s diary. We understand the purpose of the call is to discuss the draft Farriers (Registration) Bill. A summary of the call will be posted on the FRC website in due course.
