FRC Response to Misrepresentation of the Council Meeting held on 28th June 2017..

The FRC is aware that an unofficial record of the Council meeting that took place on Wednesday 28th June 2017 has been posted on a social media platform. The account is the opinion of the author alone and the material contained is partially inaccurate and liable to mislead; further, the posting of the material breaches the principle that the Council operates on a basis of collective responsibility and shared ownership of decisions, i.e. in accordance with the Nolan principles and best practice for regulatory bodies set out by Lord Bew in his report of September 2016.
At the meeting concerned the author of this article, a Council Member, tendered his resignation; those viewing the material in question may wish to bear this in mind.
In line with its procedures the FRC will publish a report of the Council meeting in the forthcoming issue of the Bulletin, and after approval at the next meeting of the Council the minutes of the meeting will be posted on the FRC website.
