Farriery is an essential part of the routine care of a horse. Without regular hoof maintenance a horse may not be able to lead a healthy life and its welfare may be put at risk.
In order to qualify for registration, GB applicants will have to complete an Apprenticeship and pass an End Point Assessment (EPA).
Professional farriers from outside GB with relevant experience and/or qualifications may also be eligible to register via the Council’s overseas application procedures.
