The Council
The purpose of the Council
The Council which meets twice each year sets regulatory policy for the profession of farriery and is responsible for decision making.
The Council comprises 16 appointed members who include Registered Farriers, Veterinary Surgeons and appointees of equine and land-based industry bodies as set out at Schedule 1 of the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975.
