The FRC are urging Registered Farriers to be on their guard for scam emails after reports were recently received of suspicious emails being sent to a number of registrants. These hoax emails appear to be from a legitimate email address, ask for work to be done on horses out of area and are offering to pay travel expenses in advance of work undertaken. Farriers are encouraged to take extra care when contacted by email to consider the validity of any request and to never supply financial details or personal information.
